Allen, the founder of the Oher brand, was originally the third-generation successor of a family-owned baby stroller company with a 40-year history.
Having been in close contact with children for a long time, he noticed that many children would occasionally develop red and rough granules on their faces. This reminded Allen of his nephews who had long suffered from eczema, allergies, and other issues. Therefore, the idea of operating sensitive skin care products began to sprout in his mind.
At the same time, he met his high school classmate Jimmy, who had long been residing in Singapore. Both of them also had sensitive skin, and their ideas instantly clicked.
Jimmy observed that the local skincare market was dominated by European and American brands, which were less suitable for the humid and mosquito-prone environment. So, they decided to use a combination of Eastern and Western ingredients to create products suitable for sensitive and dry skin!
The two of them developed and launched their first product in Singapore - an all-purpose skincare cream, with Cordyceps as the main ingredient. It achieved remarkable success upon its release. However, due to the pandemic and transportation issues, they had to temporarily suspend their business.
Despite encountering setbacks, they did not give up. They decided to restart from Taiwan and create purely sensitive skin products. After a year of improvement and research, they finally launched a new product in 2023: an all-purpose skincare cream featuring extracts of Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi mushroom), which also received high praise from consumers.
Despite their previous success in sales, they did not rest on their laurels. They continued to travel abroad for exhibitions and shuttle between various factories, all in order to continue developing more skincare products suitable for sensitive skin!
